Scholarships and Financial Aid

Padma maintains a fund to offer partial  scholarships to a few students on each trip, and to help students who can only join a trip with financial assistance.

Scholarship essays and financial aid applications will be accepted and have a deadline depending on the trip departure date. please contact info@padmaorganization.com to find out your specific dealine.

Scholarships
Choose a prompt from the list below, and write a 3-5 page essay (double-spaced 12pt font). Include a title page with your:

1. Name

2. High school and grade level

3. Essay title

4. Contact info (email & phone number)

5. Date

​After you upload your essay on this webpage, the Padma Scholarships Committee will read it and decide on the scholarship amount. Most applicants receive at least $250 scholarships toward their trip tuition.

​Financial Aid
If a lack of funds is the only thing keeping you from joining a trip with Padma, we invite you to apply for financial aid. Choose an essay prompt below and upload it to this page. In addition to the essay, click the “Financial Aid Application” and complete the fields. Your financial aid award will be decided based on your essay, application, the number of applicants on your selected trip, and in consideration of fundraising opportunities.
